1. Agreement to these terms
These terms govern your use of peakhorizonla.com and your relationship with Peak Horizon LLC (“Peak Horizon,” “we,” “us”) when you request a quote, submit a booking inquiry, or reserve a vehicle. By using this site or booking a rental, you agree to these terms. The specific rental agreement you sign or accept at the time of booking — covering the vehicle, dates, rate, deposit, and any coverage you select — governs the actual rental and controls over this page if the two conflict.
2. Eligibility to rent
Renters must hold a valid driver’s license and meet our minimum age requirements, which vary by vehicle. Most of the fleet requires a minimum renter age of 25; drivers 18–24 may be considered case by case, subject to an additional young-driver fee and proof of their own eligible insurance at the vehicle’s replacement value — we never quote a flat young-driver fee before reviewing the specific trip. Some vehicles (notably the BMW M3 Competition) require drivers 25 or older with no exceptions, due to higher coverage requirements. Every additional driver must meet the same requirements and be listed on the rental agreement before driving.
3. Quotes, inquiries & reservations
Rates shown on this site are starting/“from” rates and are not a confirmed price until a reservation is completed — actual pricing, availability, and the final rate are confirmed through our booking partner, Wheelbase, or directly with us. Submitting a quote request or inquiry does not guarantee vehicle availability; we confirm availability and finalize the booking directly with you.
4. Payments & security deposit
A refundable security deposit is required on every rental; the amount varies by vehicle tier and is confirmed before your booking is finalized. Deposits are refunded after the vehicle is returned in its pre-rental condition, typically within a few business days, less any amounts owed for damage, mileage overages, fuel, tolls, or citations incurred during the rental.
5. Cancellations
Cancellations made 7 or more days before pickup receive a full refund. Cancellations made 48 hours to 7 days before pickup are refunded at 50% of the daily rate. Cancellations within 48 hours of pickup are non-refundable. If something comes up, call us directly — we handle genuine hardship cases individually.
6. Insurance & liability during your rental
Before delivery, every renter must show proof of eligible personal auto insurance that extends to the rented vehicle, or purchase coverage through our insurance broker partner at booking. While the vehicle is in your possession, you are responsible for damage to it and for liability arising from its use, consistent with the coverage path you select. 7. Mileage & fuel
Each rental includes a daily mileage allowance, tiered by vehicle (typically 100–200 miles/day), pooled across a multi-day rental. Miles driven beyond the included allowance are billed at $1/mile for most vehicles or $1.50/mile for the BMW M3 Competition and Mercedes CLE Cabriolet. Vehicles must be returned with the same fuel level as at delivery, or we bill the fuel cost plus a refueling fee.
8. Delivery & pickup
Delivery and pickup to LAX, Burbank Airport, and major hotels across our service area runs $50, waived on rentals of 14 or more days. Custom delivery elsewhere in LA County runs $90 (also waived on 14+ day rentals) and is quoted at booking. Local pickup at our Van Nuys base is available by appointment at no charge.
9. Prohibited use
Track use, racing, and competitive driving events are prohibited across the fleet. Smoking and pets are not permitted in any vehicle; violations are billed against your deposit for cleaning or repair. Vehicles may not be used for any illegal purpose, to transport undisclosed passengers-for-hire beyond what your booking specifies, or in a manner that violates the vehicle manufacturer’s operating limits.
10. Website use & content
The text, photography, and design on peakhorizonla.com belong to Peak Horizon or its licensors and may not be copied or reused without permission. Don’t scrape, mirror, or interfere with the operation of this site.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by California law, Peak Horizon is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of this website or a rental, beyond what is expressly provided in your signed rental agreement and applicable insurance coverage. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute not resolved directly will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as our practices or offerings change. The “last updated” date above reflects the most recent revision; continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
